Area of NAFAS
About the Area
We're one of the 20 Areas which makes up the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies
(NAFAS). We have 77 Clubs plus two Junior clubs. Due to the expanse of our Area we are divided into five Groups: Cambridge, Colchester, East Suffolk, King's Lynn and Norwich.
You'll find details of dates for meetings, shows and events and can browse the photo galleries. There's information and contact details for the Area team and the Area's five Groups. We have all the Latest News and Chairman's Chat as well as the most recent Spotlight East newsletter. The Area has a good representation of Judges, Demonstrators, Speakers and Teachers. There's also lots of information about flower arranging courses and classes in the Education section.
If you love flowers and are interested in flower arranging, why not visit your local flower club? Just come and meet new people, enjoy yourselves and learn a bit about flower arranging; visitors are always warmly welcomed. Details of all the clubs in the Area can be found on the 'Groups' page.
NAFAS new Members' Charter - Message from Richard Abraham, NAFAS CEO
As part of the NAFAS Renewal Programme, the National Advisory Council (NAC) has agreed a working version of a new Members’ Charter. You may already have heard about Renewal through the recent NAFAS leaflet or a visit from Richard; the Charter is part of that wider work to help ensure NAFAS remains welcoming, relevant and sustainable for the future.
The Charter sets out some simple shared expectations about how we treat one another, contribute to NAFAS and respond when difficulties arise. It is guidance, not a new complaints or disciplinary procedure, and it is still being tested and developed. The digital leaflet (coloured image) is a short, member-friendly introduction rather than the full Charter. You can read the full working version by clicking on the black and white image. Printed copies of the leaflet will also be available shortly.
We’d like you to read it, use and test it where you can, and tell us what you think. In particular, we want to hear what works in practice, what is unclear or missing, and what might need to change. The testing period will continue well into 2027, giving members, Clubs and Areas plenty of opportunity to help shape the final version. Please send your feedback to info@nafas.org.uk.
