East of England Area of NAFAS Groups
In 1958 the decision to divide the Area into Groups was instigated, mainly due to the size of the Area and the cost
of travel. It was felt that this would aid communication and so the following five groups were formed;
Clubs falling within the vicinity of these centres are automatically members. The Group Chairman leads their own Committee and holds meetings where Area business is shared and passed on to all their Clubs. In addition the Groups hold workshops, demonstrations and competitions.
The Group Chairman is automatically a member of the Executive Committee which meets three times a year to discuss the operating of our Area. They also offer support for Area events and encourage their Club members to participate and support the work of the Area and NAFAS as a whole.
